Updated onNASA CubeSats are small satellites, usually 10x10x10 cm, that are used for research and educational purposes. Schools, universities, business, and institutions like NASA design and launch CubeSats for missions.
Build as many CubeSat spacecraft as you can in the NASA cleanroom before time runs out in CubeSat Builder! Run about the clean room testing CubeSat components, building CubeSats, and finishing tests before launching them. Combine the testing of parts with the assembly of multiple CubeSats at once to make them more quickly!
A CubeSat is a type of miniaturized satellite for space research that usually has a volume of exactly one liter (10 cm cube), has a mass of no more than 1.33 kilograms, and typically uses commercial off-the-shelf electronics components. CubeSats provide low cost access to space. They can be built quickly with off-the-shelf components and launched into orbit on a small rocket or launched directly from the International Space Sation (ISS).
