SCR-100
Overview
Innoflight’s SCR-100 is designed for low power, performance and reliability in a substantially miniaturized package. It incorporates advanced encryption, modulation, encoding and transport methods through modern highly integrated application specific chipsets (RF) and high-density FPGAs. Through our deep experience in FPGA design, we provide sophisticated smarts in a single device and add built-in space environment performance and reliability improvement mechanisms. The SCR-100’s advanced communications components allow frequency, power, waveform, modulation and other features to be selectable and controlled on the fly unlike traditional space hardware. The SCR-100 includes agile command and data interface with COMSEC.
The transmitter has a frequency range of 2200MHz -2300MHz and supports Phase Shift Keying modulation techniques. Input encoding is designed to support IP/HDLC but also compatible with other NRZ formats. The data rate operates beyond 4.5Mbps but typically is limited by occupied bandwidth authorization.
The receiver runs at a frequency range of 2025MHz-2110MHz and supports FSK/GMSK and FM/PCM modulation techniques. The input encoding supports IP/HDLC and is also compatible with other NRZ formats. The maximum uplink data rate is 100kbps, significantly faster than the traditional SGLS and CCSDS.
This radio has been fully qualified and had its first successful flight in LEO in November 2013. Qualification includes the usual functional and environmental qualification testing along with end-to-end testing with the radios used on the ground side. In addition, the DD Form 1494 filing and spectral efficiency testing are all complete and passed.
Each individual SCR-100 is qualified by Innoflight before delivery. This includes Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP), and workmanship thermal cycle testing. For additional testing measures and services please consult Innoflight’s available services.
