Overview

Designed to transfer heat between two surfaces while allowing for relative motion or displacement between them. Due to mechanical constraints, flexible thermal links (FTL), are crucial for maintaining optimal temperatures in systems where connection flexibility is a critical feature. They help prevent overheating of components by dissipating heat effectively while allowing for the movement that occurs during operation.
Lidax FTLs have been part of the thermal control management of the ESA Missions, Bepi Colombo, EarthCare, Plato and more.
The pyrolytic graphite FTL is used in several New Space projects, because of its high conductance/weight ratio.
