Description
The spacecrafts of Perseus series are based on the CubeSat form-factor of 6U size (10х20х30 cm). The design includes a wide range of components of the industrial class which underwent space flight tests on the board of other experimental satellites. Moreover, it contains elements designed by Dauria Aerospace, particularly the Ka-band transmitter for a high-speed downlink.
The Perseus platform is equipped with laid-on solar batteries that can be supplemented with folding panels. Gallium-arsenide solar batteries and lithium-ion storage batteries allow sending 6-12 W to the payload.
Perseus is equipped with three flywheel engines for the accurate three-axis attitude sensing and three magnetic actuators for the attitude control and for the discharge of flywheels. This option together with Ka transmitter makes it possible to use the platform for the remote sensing.
Solar batteries used on the platform belong to the “intelligent” type — they have solar sensors, magnetometers and Monitoring and Assessment system. This makes them a part of the navigation and motion control system.
