Overview

OCE’s magnetometer uses a fluxgate sensor which measures the Earth's magnetic field strength and provides the relevant data for generating magnetic torque with the magnetorquer.

The magnetometer is designed for real-time testing of the local three axis component of the magnetic field so as to provide precise magnetic field test data for geomagnetic field measurement, satellite platform attitude measurement and satellite residual magnetism and magnetic measurement. The product includes probes, line box, and the corresponding connector cables. The control and processor circuit board are all contained within the circuit box. The probe is used to sense three-axis magnetic field strength, which is converted to electrical signals and output to the magnetometer circuit. The circuit box is used to receive and process the magnetic field signal sensed by the probe and to output the magnetic field value in the form of an analog signal.
