Lemi-016
Overview
The LEMI - 016 magnetometer is designed to measure the value and sign of the projections of the magnetic field induction vector onto three orthogonally located magnetosensitive elements (flux gates) for use in spacecraft orientation systems that are put into orbit from altitudes from 300 to 1000 km and with an inclination of 60 to 100 degrees .
The magnetometer is designed using the principle of “cold” redundancy to ensure maximum reliability. The LEMI - 016 magnetometer consists of two independent magnetometers with sensors combined by a common rigid small-sized housing. The special design of the sensor keeps the magnetic and mechanical axes aligned after extreme overloads.
The serial user interface transmits digital output signals to the microsatellite control system. The TIA / EIA-485 (RS-485) interface is made with galvanic isolation of signals and supports the SSP protocol. Both the primary and backup communication channels are galvanically isolated from other electrical circuits of satellite systems.
