Excellion MicroEnergy BM-72 Module
Overview
The Excellion modular battery series for nanosatellites (CubeSats) and microsatellites is an advanced energy storage system based on Excellion’s internal cell qualification program and on state-of-the-art battery chemistry in 21700 format cells.
The series consists of the battery module BM-72 (72 Wh), which can be physically and electrically stacked to increase capacity, e.g., 3x BM-72 yields a 216 Wh system. Modules and satellite bus are connected via a connector board.
Rigorous testing in our specialised facilities - 7,000 full LEO orbit cycles or 1.2 years of mission time so far, tests ongoing - have confirmed the safety and reliability, with a minimal 2.5% capacity fade.
